Curious about the StreamElements Sponsorships Program? This article covers common questions, including eligibility, requirements, payments, and more!
Eligibility
- Who is eligible for the Sponsorships Program? Any StreamElements user is eligible for our Sponsorships Program, provided they meet the criteria specified for each campaign. Please review the article on Requesting Invitations for Sponsorship Campaigns for detailed information.
- Are there any specific requirements for participation? Users must meet the criteria outlined for each campaign type, including gaming and non-gaming campaigns. It's essential to review the requirements carefully before participating in a campaign.
- How can I see if I have an offer? To check if you have any sponsorship offers, simply head over to the Sponsorships page on your StreamElements dashboard. Here, you can view any available campaigns that you're eligible for.
- What if I don't see any offers? Regrettably, we are unable to send campaign invitations directly due to the automated nature of the process and the specific eligibility criteria for each campaign, as explained above.
If you consistently stream and have an active community, but have not received any sponsorship offers, you can utilize our 'Notify Me' feature (as shown in the image below) to express your interest in receiving campaign offers."
Campaign Types
- What types of campaigns are available in the Sponsorships Program? There are two types of campaigns: gaming campaigns and non-gaming campaigns. Each campaign has its own unique requirements and objectives, it's crucial to review them before starting.
- How do gaming and non-gaming campaigns differ?
- Gaming Campaigns: These campaigns focus solely on promoting games or gaming-related content. Creators participating in gaming campaigns are expected to promote specific games to their audience.
- Non-Gaming Campaigns: Non-gaming campaigns usually promote advertising products or services.
Participation and Counting
- What do I need to participate? Each campaign has its own requirements. Gaming campaigns usually require you to get new players into the game by getting viewers to sign up with your link and get to a specific level or do a specific action, while non-gaming campaigns usually require you to get viewers to sign up to a service using your link. All the specifics can be found in your campaign dashboard.
- How do I start? Simply click the "Start now" button located on your campaign page to start.
- How many events do I need to get paid? Most campaigns require a minimum of 1 event to be paid so as long as you meet all the mandatory requirements, such as streaming the game, using the branded overlay(s), using the chatbot command/timer, and any other mandatory requirements, you’ll be eligible for a payout.
- How are participants counted? Participants are counted based on the campaign requirements. Users who meet the specified criteria and follow the instructions for participation will be counted accordingly. In general, most campaigns will consider only new players/customers, unless otherwise specified.
- Can I end my campaign early? Yes, you can. You are free to end the campaign early if you are satisfied with your current payout or if you want to cancel the campaign. There's no penalty for ending your campaign earlier than expected.
- Can I promote the game on other platforms such as YouTube, Kick, Instagram, or Discord? The campaign and all the stream-related goals have to be run on Twitch but you can still share your campaign link or even promote the campaign using other platforms.
- Can I use the PC version of a game for a mobile game campaign? We recommend sticking to the mobile version and emulating it on your PC using Bluestacks or NoxPlayer.
- What do I do if I have technical issues with the game itself? We don't have the tools to assist with issues related to the sponsored game. We recommend contacting the game's support team directly for assistance. You should be able to contact them by accessing the Help/FAQ or similar page in the options menu within the game itself or by going directly to their support page.
Payment Adjustments and Flagging
- Payment Adjustments: After a campaign ends, payments may be adjusted to account for invalid or abusive events. This ensures that payments reflect genuine participation and campaign performance.
- Flagging of Abusive Campaigns: In some cases, an entire campaign may be flagged as abusive if a significant number of invalid or abusive events are detected. In such instances, payment for the campaign may be revoked entirely.
We recommend taking a look at our Sponsorships Payment FAQ article to read more about the payment process.
