Print on demand products require high resolution and high quality designs This page has all the information you need to get started designing graphics for your printed merch.
WHAT IS PRINT ON DEMAND OR MAKE ON DEMAND?
Print on Demand is a printing process where custom items are printed on an order-by-order basis. This fulfillment method is a low-risk way for creators to sell custom merch because you don’t have to sit on unsold merch or make any investments on inventory. The merch only gets created when it’s ordered.
WHAT SIZE SHOULD MY DESIGNS BE?
The size of your design will depend on the products you want to put it on. If you want to use 1 design on many products, we suggest designing it the size of the largest product. Remember: sizing down retains the quality of the design but sizing up a design will make it blurry!
These are the print dimensions per product:
-
T-Shirt: 4500 x 5700 pixels
-
Long Sleeve T-Shirt: 4500 x 5700 pixels
-

WHAT FILE FORMAT SHOULD I USE FOR MY DESIGN?
We recommend exporting your designs in PNG format at 300DPI.
HOW CAN I MAKE SURE THE COLORS I USE LOOK ACCURATE ON THE PRODUCTS?
We advise you to design in CMYK because that is the color profile used by our printers. This will ensure the colors you choose are possible to achieve. Once you’re done designing, save as a PNG file, 8bit RGB @ 300 DPI.
WHAT SHOULD I AVOID DOING TO MAKE SURE MY DESIGNS TURN OUT WELL?
Please avoid:
-
Glow and neon effects
-
Low opacity (opacity set to anything below 100%)
-
Tiny details and delicate fonts
-
Neon colors
-
Copyright material: If you don’t own the design or the character(s) then do not use it for merch
WHICH PRODUCTS HAVE MULTI-SIDE PRINTING AVAILABLE?
The unisex t-shirt, women’s t-shirt, long sleeve t-shirt, and unisex tank top have multi-side printing available. We will add multi-side print to the hoodies (pullover, zipup, cropped) in the following weeks. Multi-side print includes adding designs to the front, back and sleeves (unless otherwise noted).
DOES IT COST EXTRA TO PRINT ON MULTIPLE SIDES?
All apparel includes the cost of printing on 1 side. For any additional side(s) there will be additional charges.
Additional front or back: +$5.00
Long Sleeve: +$5.00 each
Short Sleeve: +$2.00
DO I HAVE TO SET UP ALL MY PRODUCTS AGAIN?
You can keep and edit any merch in your shop as they look now without having to set them up again but you will not be able to add additional print areas to those existing products. Please note that your original product may be offered in fewer colors and sizes than the new product.
WHY CAN'T I ADD A SECOND SIDE PRINT TO MY EXISTING PRODUCT?
Multi-side designs are produced using new vendors. Because of this, products created prior to this feature being launched are not set up to be produced by the new vendor. You can still use the art on these products to create a new product that supports multi-side designs.
