Sponsors for Active Streamers
Hello!
First of all, I want to express my appreciation for StreamElements, as it has made sponsorships readily available for streamers of all sizes, which I find fantastic.
However, I have some feedback regarding the transparency of these sponsorship offers. Initially, I was content with receiving sponsorship offers after a few months. However, I've noticed that many streamers are receiving multiple sponsorships one after the other, while I haven't received any.
I appreciate StreamElements for providing opportunities to small streamers, making them feel valued. However, it seems unfair when individuals who don't stream frequently or even have a community are receiving these sponsorships, while others like myself who stream almost every day are not.
Upon entering Discord to seek more information and understanding, I encountered a streamer who mentioned not receiving a sponsorship for over a year on their main account, yet their alternate account, which features identical content, received sponsorships. Another streamer mentioned receiving sponsorships on their bot account but not on their main account.
I decided to experiment. I opened my bot account, which has fewer than 20 followers and is not affiliated with Twitch, and ran a stream with just images and songs for three days. Surprisingly, I received two campaign offers: Call of Dragons and AFK: Journey.
This disparity in sponsorship offers leads me to believe that there might be an issue with the campaign selection process. While I understand that not all offers may align with my audience or the games I play, it's perplexing to see my viewers, who play the same games as me, only stream once a week (or month) for fun, yet my bot account, which I never use, receives offers while I, a full-time Partner streamer who has performed well in previous campaigns, do not.
To ensure fairness and inclusivity in sponsorship opportunities, I suggest implementing a program where content creators can apply and express their interest in sponsors. I'm not suggesting that this would guarantee their spot in a sponsorship, but rather it would demonstrate the streamer's interest in collaborating with StreamElements as a content creator. This approach would be more viable than randomly offering spots to individuals who may not even stream as a profession or hobby, effectively taking opportunities away from those who would genuinely promote the game
