Disabling scenes panel or having it seperate in vertical canvas

I am using se.live and its vertical canvas and I noticed that it is impossible to hide the scenes panel completely. Personally, I have them all linked to their horizontal counterparts, and I would like to be able to expand the canvas preview. I think a good idea would be to have it as seperate panels like in normal horizontal view or just making it possible to toggle it off.
