The Loyalty System with StreamElements has a few features that you will want to take advantage of in order to maximize engagement with your viewers.
Loyalty System Leaderboard:
The Leaderboard shows the amounts of points users have currently & all time, along with showing user watch time. (Note: The Loyalty system must be enabled for watch-time to function and Points will not be distributed for watching during re-runs.)
In addition, for watch time to properly be distributed, please make sure you are not watching the stream in full screen, and that the chat is not collapsed. Since Twitch doesn't show a viewer in the chat user list if they view in full screen or have chat collapsed, our system will not recognize the viewer as well, and as a result of this, watch time won't be distributed.
In the Leaderboard page, on the top right side of the window, you will be able to do the following:
- View the Public Leaderboard (as users can view it as well)
- Give points to users
- Reset the leaderboard
You As stated above your Leaderboard shows you a couple of different views:
- CURRENT - displays the list of viewers and their amount of points at the time of viewing.
- ALL TIME - shows the highest accumulated amount a viewer has ever had (usually higher than "Current", as viewers lost points, too).
- WATCH TIME - displays the duration viewers have watched the stream in minutes. (Note: Make sure that the above instructions on watchtime are taken into account.)
NOTE: If a viewer has changed their Twitch account username:
In order to retrieve their old loyalty data (points and watch time), and assuming the following command is enabled in that channel, they can run !rename OldUsername in chat, which will transfer their currency and watch time from the old username to the new one.
Loyalty System Contests:
Contests is a fun & simple way to increase your viewers’ participation in chat during the stream. These are fun bets taking place in chat for your viewers use their points in order to place their bets on what they predict would be the winning outcome.
