Setting Up Your DonorDrive Campaign with StreamElements

DonorDrive is a modern fundraising platform empowering communities with peer-to-peer events, live streaming capabilities, virtual events, activity tracking, tailored donation campaigns, and a native mobile app.

Now, creators using StreamElements can integrate DonorDrive into their live streams, supporting charities like ExtraLife, StackUP, and many others. This integration enables donation alerts and donation goal widgets to enhance fundraising efforts.

Setting Up Your DonorDrive Campaign with StreamElements

Step 1: Account and Campaign Setup

To begin integrating DonorDrive with StreamElements, follow these initial steps:

1. Create a DonorDrive Account and Campaign:
   • Visit DonorDrive Charity Streaming to sign up and select a charity to support.
   • Register to start or join a campaign.
   • Upon registration, you will receive links to your fundraising page and on-screen donation progress overlay.

Step 2: Connecting Your Campaign to StreamElements

To enable Alerts and Donation Goal widgets, connect your DonorDrive campaign to StreamElements:

1. Access Channel Settings:

   • Click on your Channel in the profile menu.
   • Navigate to "Channel Settings."

2. Integrate DonorDrive:

   • Locate the "Integrations" tab in the middle menu.
   • Click "Connect" to input your DonorDrive campaign details.

3. Setup Details:

   • Search and select the charity you are fundraising for.
   • Enter your participant ID from your DonorDrive dashboard. You can easily update this if needed.

Once connected, customize your Alerts to acknowledge donors during your stream and display your progress towards your fundraising goal effectively.

Adding DonorDrive Alerts and Donation Tracker to OBS

To integrate DonorDrive Alert Box, Donation Tracker Widget, and your DonorDrive Overlay into OBS, follow these steps:

• • Navigate to "My Overlays" in StreamElements:

    • Choose whether to add DonorDrive widgets to an existing overlay or create a new one.

  • Creating a New Overlay:

    • Opt for a 1080p resolution for clarity.

  • Adding DonorDrive Widgets:

    • Under "Charity & Seasonal > Charity," select "DonorDrive Donation AlertBox."
    • Customize the alert's animation, sound effect, volume, and message using DonorDrive variables like {displayName}, {amount}, {programName}, and {message}.
    • Remember to save your changes (top right of the canvas).

Previewing Your Alert:

• Use the emulator to preview how the alert appears when triggered. Adjust settings as needed using the left panel.

Adding Your DonorDrive Overlay to OBS:

• If your widgets are in a separate overlay, copy the overlay URL and paste it into a browser source in OBS.
• For widgets added to an existing overlay, simply refresh your browser source in OBS if they don't appear.

To update your DonorDrive integration with new campaign information:

1. Navigate to the Integrations screen in your Channel Settings.
2. Click the “Update” button.
3. Select the new charity or cause you wish to support.
4. Update your Participant ID as necessary.
5. Save your changes.

Now your DonorDrive integration is ready to support your new charity or cause seamlessly.
