Rewarding loyal members of your streaming community with unique sound effects they can play on stream using StreamElements Loyalty points is a great way to enhance viewer engagement. Follow these steps to set up sound commands for your viewers.
Setting Up Sound Commands

Navigate to Your Loyalty Stream Store
- Go to the Loyalty Stream Store page via the link or by selecting 'Loyalty' --> 'Stream store' on your Creator Dashboard.
Select Item Type: Sound Effects
- Choose 'Sound effects' as the item type.

Configure Item Details
- Set the item name, description, and cooldown settings.
- Choose the cost in Loyalty points and press 'Next'.

Upload Sound File
- Upload your sound file (preferably MP3) and set the desired volume.

Enable Redemption Options
- Select the redemption methods and specify if the item is for subscribers only.

Name the Command
- Choose a command name for the sound item.
How to Add Sound Commands to Your Stream
Follow these steps to add sound commands to your stream:
Step 1: Navigate to Your Custom Commands Page
- Go to your custom commands page here.
Step 2: Create a Custom Command
- Create a command with a name of your choosing.
- Set the response to be

.
- The item name and item command from the item's first and second settings pages do not need to be identical, but using the same name helps you remember it.
- We recommend setting the command name to match the item name.

Step 3: Create an Overlay with the Store Redemption Widget
- Navigate to My Overlays.
- Create a new overlay or edit an existing one that you want to add the widget to.
Step 4: Add the Store Redemption Widget
- In the overlay editor, add the Store Redemption widget.
Step 5: Customize the Store Redemption Widget
- Remove the default video, sound, and text of the alert since you only want the item sound to play upon redemption.
- The 'Alert duration' setting is not important for sound commands.

Test the Command
- Test the command in chat with OBS or the Overlay Editor open to hear the sound.
- Ensure the overlay is added as a browser source in OBS if it's new. If it's an existing overlay, just save the changes.

Enable/Disable Command
- Enable the command for both online and offline testing initially. Once confirmed, set it to work only when you're live.
- Optionally, hide the command from the public Stream Store.
