Important Notes
- Enable Loyalty System:
- Ensure that the Loyalty system is enabled for both points and watch time accumulation.
- Watch time increments every 10 minutes during live streams; it does not accumulate during reruns.
- Retroactive Watch Time:
- Twitch does not track watch time retroactively, so it cannot be applied to viewers' totals after the fact.
Important Notes on Loyalty Distribution for Watch Time
-
Active Status Requirement:
- Viewers must be logged into their StreamElements account and actively participate in chat by typing at least once. This action allows the bot to recognize them as an active user.
-
Avoid Collapsing Chat:
- Collapsing chat on Twitch results in viewers being removed from the chat users list. To maintain active status and receive loyalty points, viewers should refrain from collapsing chat.
-
Full-Screen Viewing:
- Viewing streams in full-screen mode can also lead to viewers not appearing in the user list, thereby preventing them from earning loyalty points. It's recommended that viewers avoid full-screen mode if they wish to accumulate watch time points.
Name Changes on Twitch

Impact on Loyalty Points:
- Changing usernames on Twitch can affect the distribution of loyalty points. If a viewer changes their Twitch username, their previous loyalty data may not transfer automatically to the new username.
-
Using the !rename Command:
- Streamers can enable the
