SE.Live is an OBS plugin developed by StreamElements designed to augment your streaming setup with additional features and functionalities.
How to install SE.Live
- Download SE.Live: Visit https://streamelements.com/selive to download the latest version of SE.Live.
- Installation Process: Follow the on-screen instructions to install SE.Live on your computer. Ensure that OBS is closed during the installation process to prevent any conflicts.
- Verify its installation: Once installed, launch OBS and you should see a StreamElements menu at the top of the OBS window.
Features
SE.Live comes with various features that enhance your OBS experience, mainly adding StreamElements specific features via docks:
- Activity feed: Adds the StreamElements activity feed
- Elements Control Center: Easily add widgets from the Elements gallery or from your own library.
- Media request: Control your media request queue directly from OBS
- Multi-Chat: Consolidate chat messages from multiple streaming platforms into a single, unified chat window.
- Cloud backup: Easily backup your OBS data to your StreamElements account. This includes both your profiles and scene collections.
To backup your data:- Go to StreamElements > Cloud Backup > Backup Settings and Content
- Enter a name for the Backup, select the profiles and scene collections you want to save and click "Backup"
- To restore your data go to StreamElements > Cloud Backup > Manage Cloud Backups
- Locate the Backup you want to restore and click "Open"
- Select the profiles and scene collections you want to restore and click "Restore"
- OBS will restart when the restoration process is completed
Notes: The overall backup size can't be more than 100MB so we recommend not including large files in the backup, such as video files. Those will need to be removed from your OBS. You can save them locally if needed.
- Go to StreamElements > Cloud Backup > Backup Settings and Content
Supported Platforms
SE.Live is currently only supported on Windows operating systems. Support for SE.Live on Mac operating systems has been discontinued.

- Q: Can I use SE.Live to stream to multiple platforms?
A: SE.Live itself does not enable multi-platform streaming. However, it does provide multi-platform chat functionality via the multi-chat dock, allowing you to view and chats from different streaming platforms within OBS. - Q: What happens if I have issues with OBS and SE.Live?
