Purpose
This guide answers frequently asked questions about SE sponsorship eligibility and how invitations are issued.
What are StreamElements sponsorship campaigns?
StreamElements sponsorship campaigns are a program that connects our brand partners with our creators, providing paid opportunities by incorporating sponsored content into your regular content.
Why haven't I received any sponsorship offers? Can I request an invitation to the sponsorship program?
Invitations to the sponsorship program are issued based on various factors. We do not currently have a direct invitation request system — the process is automated and depends on the eligibility criteria below for each campaign. You can proactively work on meeting these criteria to increase your likelihood of receiving an invitation.
The following factors contribute to who qualifies and is eligible to receive sponsorship offers:
- Language and Location: Sponsorships should be relevant to the creator's region, and the creator's language should align with specific brand partners' needs — a creator may speak a different language than their location would suggest, which can suit certain brand partners.
- Channel Activity and Viewership: We analyze the number of streams during a specific time frame to measure engagement. Consistent streaming helps grow your community and improves your opportunities for running campaigns.
- Concurrent Viewers (CCV): The average number of viewers watching a channel at the same time during a specific period. We use this to gauge the potential success and earning potential of selected creators. There is no minimum CCV requirement.
- Brand Safety: The creator's most frequently played game genres must align with the brand partners' vision. (In short: if you regularly stream mature content, don't expect a campaign meant for a younger audience.)
- Terms of Service Compliance: We monitor past violations of our terms and policies to guarantee that all participants adhere to the necessary rules and maintain a fair and respectful environment for users.
- Past Results: We review a creator's past sponsorship results to ensure they meet brand requirements.
- Campaign Preference: When curating campaigns, we factor in previous rejections to exclude creators who've explicitly said they're not interested in that type of campaign.
- Previously Ran Campaigns: We usually apply a "cool down" period after a creator runs a campaign, to avoid audience fatigue from seeing the same campaign repeatedly.
I haven't received any new sponsorship offers in some time. What should I do?
If you've stopped receiving sponsorship offers, it's possible that your streaming activity or metrics no longer meet the eligibility criteria. Focus on improving your metrics and content quality, and continue engaging with your audience to increase your chances of receiving sponsorship offers in the future.
What should I do if I don't have any sponsorship offers?
If you're eager to participate but no sponsorships are currently available, don't worry! You can use the NOTIFY ME button in the sponsorships dashboard to receive email notifications when new sponsorships become available. This doesn't guarantee offers will follow — the eligibility criteria above still apply — but it does register your interest.
What should I do if the sponsorship offer I received is no longer available?
If the sponsorship you're interested in is no longer available, all the spots for it have been filled. Our sponsorships have limited spots available, so it's crucial to act promptly when you receive an offer that catches your attention. You can use the NOTIFY ME button in the sponsorships dashboard — this lets us know you're still interested in participating if more spots become available.
How can I increase my chances of receiving an invitation?
Here are some tips to increase your chances of qualifying for the StreamElements sponsorship program:
- Focus on Metrics: Work on improving key metrics such as concurrent viewership, engagement, and content quality.
- Content Diversification: Diversify your content to cater to a broader audience and appeal to potential sponsoring brands.
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with your audience and foster a positive streaming environment. Networking with other creators can also boost your visibility in the streaming community.
- Consistency: Maintain a regular streaming schedule while providing quality content.
