How to Install SE.Live for OBS
Step 1: Download SE.Live
Go to streamelements.com/selive or click the link in the description to download the SE.Live installer.
Step 2: Run the Installer
- Once the file is downloaded, open it to start the installation.
- Choose the folder where you want to install SE.Live and click Next.
Step 3: Open OBS Studio
- After installation is complete, open OBS Studio.
- If this is your first time using SE.Live, a Login Screen will appear.
Step 4: Log in to StreamElements
- Select the platform you use to log in to StreamElements.
- Example: If you use Twitch, log in with your Twitch account.
Setting Up Outputs for Multistreaming
When we talk about Outputs in Multistreaming, we’re referring to the platforms you want to stream to. For example, if you want to stream to Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok, each of these platforms needs to be configured as an Output. SE.Live makes this easy through the Multistreaming Panel in the bottom-right corner.
Here’s how to set up your Outputs:

Access the Multistreaming Panel:
- At the bottom right of SE.Live, you’ll find the Multistreaming Panel, which shows all the platforms linked to your StreamElements account.

Configure Your Outputs:
- To enable a platform, toggle the switch next to the platform name in the Multi-Streaming dock.
- You’ll see the channel name and the Canvas it will use.

- For more detailed settings, click the three dots menu and select Settings. This will open the settings window, which has three main sections:

Configure Outputs:
- In the Outputs section, you can also click the Connect button to enable platforms that aren’t linked yet.
- You can also choose which OBS Audio track to send to each platform.

Set Up Broadcast Settings:
- Under Broadcast Settings, you can pre-define things like:
- Stream title and category
- Platform-specific options (e.g., Privacy status for YouTube)

Once you’ve enabled all the desired outputs, click the Start Streaming button in OBS.
TIP!
You can start or stop streaming to individual platforms while still streaming to others. For example, if you want to stop streaming to one platform but continue on others, just toggle the output off in the Multi-Streaming dock.
Connecting Your TikTok Account for Multistreaming
TikTok Output Always Visible:
You’ll always see the TikTok output in your Multistreaming panel.
Connecting Your TikTok Account:
Even if you don’t have access to TikTok LIVE yet, logging into your TikTok account here will fast-track your review process with TikTok.
Going Live on TikTok:
Once you're logged in and granted access to TikTok LIVE, the TikTok output will switch to On, and you’ll be ready to go live on TikTok!
FAQs
Q: Can I stream to multiple platforms at the same time?
A: Yes, once you’ve enabled multiple outputs in the Multi-Streaming dock, you can stream to all of them simultaneously.
Q: What if I want to stop streaming to one platform?
A: Simply toggle the switch next to the platform in the Multi-Streaming dock to disable that output while still streaming to other platforms.
Q: Can I add more than one output for the same platform?
A: Yes, you can add multiple outputs for the same platform, such as one for horizontal and one for vertical streaming on YouTube.
Q: Can I have multiple streams on TikTok?
A: Yes, however, you will need to add the second stream as a custom RTMP output.
Q: Do I have to link my TikTok/Twitch/YouTube stream key each time I open OBS?
A: No, SE.Live will remember your account and connect automatically.
Q: Can I set custom resolutions for each platform I stream on?
A: Yes! You will need to set up a separate canvas for each platform and configure the desired resolution. Fortunately, this setup only needs to be done once.
Q: Can I create multiple vertical or horizontal canvases?
A: Yes! You can create as many as you need. Please note that the more canvases and outputs you have active, the more system resources will be used.
Q: Can I set custom bitrates?
A: At this time, we do not have an option to set custom bitrates for each platform or canvas. However, our team fully understands the need for this feature and is actively working on implementing it.
Q: Can I link canvases together?
A: Yes, you can!
Q: Can I get TikTok alerts? Why do I need a separate TikTok chat dock? Why is my TikTok chat not appearing in the multi-chat dock?
A: We’re currently working with TikTok to obtain full access to their API and expand our services for TikTok creators. For now, events will appear in your chat dock, but alerts are not yet available. Once TikTok approves full API access, we will implement all our features.
